Vineet Arora

MD, MAPP University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine

Vineet Arora is Assistant Dean of Scholarship & Discovery and Director of GME Clinical Learning Environment and Innovation at the University of Chicago. In the latter role, she bridges educational and hospital leadership to integrate residents and fellows into the quality, safety, and value missions of the institution.

As a Macy Faculty Scholar, Dr. Arora will aim to evaluate, sustain, and spread IGNITE (Improving GME Nursing Interprofessional Team Experiences) to train residents, nurses, and other professionals to work in high-reliability teams aligned with institutional priorities to improve patient care and ultimately support the vision of interprofessional clinical learning environments (IPCLE).

Debra Albert, RN, MSN, MBA, NEA-BC, Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services at the University of Chicago Medicine, and Greg Horner, MA, ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Vice President of Operational Excellence at the University of Chicago Medicine, serve as Dr. Arora’s mentors.
