Lauren Clark

RN, PhD, FAAN

Dr. Clark earned a doctorate in nursing and completed post-doctoral programs in cultural anthropology methods and conflict resolution. She serves on the Board of Directors of Disability Rights California, is the President of the Western Institute of Nursing, and serves on the UCLA Tarjan Center faculty advisory board. Her research addresses quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. She teaches community-engaged learning experiences in partnership with the disability community. Her courses are designed to model accessibility in healthcare professions education. She is the mother of two adult children with developmental disabilities and advocates for their rights in education, employment, housing, healthcare, and community life.
