We are excited to share the seventh and final episode of Vital Voices Season 3, a podcast of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation.
This episode’s transcript is available here.
On today’s episode, we feature Lanre Falusi, MD, MEd, an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Falusi focuses largely on advocacy in her scholarship and administrative work. She is the Medical Director of Advocacy Education in the Child Health Advocacy Institute of Children’s National Hospital, and she directs the Children’s National LAUnCH Track, which trains pediatric residents to become leaders in advocacy and community healthcare delivery.
As an advocate herself, Dr. Falusi has spoken in Congress and to the media on topics ranging from poverty to immigrant health to antiracism. She discusses the importance of incorporating advocacy efforts into HPE, and shares specific advice for future physicians interested in incorporating advocacy in their own practice.
As always, we hope that you will share the podcast with your social media networks. If you are interested in hearing more about the Macy Faculty Scholars Program, we encourage you to check out our website and subscribe to Vital Voices wherever you get your podcasts.
